LA Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald’s castle is his new home
The old adage is “A man’s home is his castle.“But if we’re planning on talking about LA Rams All-Pro defensive lineman Aaron Donald, we’re going to have to tweak that a bit. It should read “Aaron Donald’s castle is his home”, because mansion, enclosure or villa really don’t have the same meaning.
You may remember the handset regarding the impact of two unrelated NFL rumors that were publicly reported simultaneously. The first was Aaron Donald’s question mentioning the retirement that was publicly reported on the Super Bowl LVI pregame show. The second was the news of Donald putting his over $6 million home in Calabasas up for sale.
Well, we haven’t moved past the retirement rumors yet. But we got some clarification on the sale of Aaron Donald’s house. He was not moving, but rather improving. And not just across the street, but in the very hip and ultra-affluent neighborhood of Hidden Hills in Southern California.
Hidden Hills is located in Los Angeles County and is just northwest of and adjacent to Calabasas and west of the San Fernando Valley. It’s an extremely quaint and unremarkable (town?) gated community with plenty of elbow room. Only barely 506 families live in the region for a total population of less than 2000 inhabitants.
Aaron Donald just bought a stunning $17 million Hidden Hills resort after selling his Calabasas crib…a pretty good indication that AD only plays football in Los Angeles! https://t.co/OAidCzPuQC

What kind of castle, uh… house, costs $17 million?
Defend the castle!
Well, according to TMZ’s article on the subject, the new home is a 12,000 square foot construction that features eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a game room, a dedicated movie theater, a fully equipped gym equipped with a steam shower and a full-service sauna. And, of course, this luxurious home includes a spectacular living room with a fireplace and a private office for studying videos and the LA Rams playbook.
And curious neighbors? That really shouldn’t be a problem for Donald, as his new neighbors are familiar faces: LA Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and head coach Sean McVay. But the area is home to many of the Kardashians, Drake and even Miley Cyrus.
Hidden Hills is strategically located midway between the LA Rams’ training facility at Cal Lutheran in Thousand Oaks, CA, and the team home field at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA.
Want to experience life in Hidden Hills for yourself? Well, a small five-bedroom residence is available for rent, but the cost is almost $17,000 per month. Maybe that’s why Aaron Donald is waiting for more money? Mortgages for a $17 million property can’t be cheap. Besides, property taxes or the cost of home repairs can’t either?
